The Challenge

Car buyers need quick, reliable access to vehicle history and specifications before making a purchase. Existing VIN lookup tools were either expensive, slow, or provided incomplete data. We needed to aggregate data from multiple sources into a clean, instant experience.

Our Solution

We built VIN Check with Swift and SwiftUI for a native, performant iOS experience. The backend aggregates data from the NHTSA database, manufacturer APIs, and recall databases into a unified response. PostgreSQL stores cached results for instant lookups on popular vehicles, while Express handles API routing and rate limiting.
