The Challenge

Building a social platform that cuts through the noise. Users wanted meaningful connections without the distraction of images, ads, and algorithmic manipulation. The challenge was creating an engaging experience with text-only content while maintaining performance across both iOS and Android.

Our Solution

We built TXT.ME using React Native with Expo for rapid cross-platform development. The architecture uses Firebase for real-time data sync, enabling instant message delivery and feed updates. Cloud Functions handle background tasks like content moderation and chat expiration. The minimalist UI was designed to feel native on both platforms while keeping the app size under 15MB.
